- To prepare participants for upcoming 2025 Eastern US Asian GS Race IV.
- To refine essential skills and techniques specific to this event.
- To create a supportive environment for all participating candidates.
Agenda:
10:00 AM – 10:15 AM: Welcome and Introductions
- Icebreaker activity
- Overview of workshop objectives
10:15 AM – 10:45 AM: GS Gear and Setup
- Overview of appropriate equipment
- Tips on ski setup and tuning for optimal performance
10:45 AM – 11:30 AM: Key GS Techniques
- Review of important GS techniques: carving, turning, and line choice
- Drills to practice these techniques on gentle terrain
11:30 AM – 12:15 PM: Course Familiarization
- Explanation of GS course layout and gate setup
- Strategies for navigating gates effectively
12:15 PM – 12:45 PM: Lunch Break
- Quick break to refuel and discuss the morning session
12:45 PM – 2:00 PM: On-the-Snow GS Practice Runs
- Timed practice runs on a GS course
- Focus on applying the techniques learned earlier
2:00 PM – 2:30 PM: Feedback and Video Review
- Group discussion and feedback on practice runs
- Video analysis to highlight strengths and areas for improvement
2:30 PM – 3:00 PM: Closing Remarks and Q&A

Materials Needed for candidates:
- Ski Equipment
- Protective Gear such as Helmets
- Layered ski clothing
- Ski pass or lift ticket
- Notepad and pen for taking notes during the workshop
- Water bottle for hydration
- Any personal snacks for energy
